I'm a recently retired Midwife living in rural Nottinghamshire with my husband . I have 2 grown up children (a Daughter and son,) and a grandson. Knitting and crochet have been a passion of mine since childhood - living in the country made other forms of entertainment hard to come by ! Now I find it very relaxing and rewarding, the choice of colours and textures available is just amazing.

Keeping Warm


Well, another cold snap predicted, so how about some tips on keeping warm ?

!) Layering - 2 thin garments are much warmer than 1 thick one

2)Keep active - excersise keeps the blood flowing and raises the body temperature

3) Eat regular warm meals, home made soups are ideal, and frequent warm drinks too.

4)Visit my shop for a wonderful array of winter warmers !

    Awww!!!! What a lovely photo. I envy your cat.

    I've been looking at all your winter warmers. They are really good. I absolutely love the little leg warmers for babies - thats just super cute. :)
